PADI Deep Diver® Deep DiveExplore the Ocean's Mysteries: Professional Instructors Lead You to Challenge 40 Meters, Diving into WWII History at Okinawa's USS Emmons
Want to explore the legendary USS Emmons shipwreck? This course is your only ticket to these deep blue relics.
The PADI Deep Diver Specialty course will take you beyond the limitations of introductory and advanced levels, safely descending to the recreational diving limit of 40 meters. In Okinawa, we will train at the famous USS Emmons shipwreck site. This is not just about increasing depth, but a comprehensive upgrade of your diving skills, gas management, and mental fortitude.
Since the hull of the USS Emmons lies at a depth of approximately 36-42 meters, a regular AOW certification can only reach the top of the vessel. This course will teach you how to precisely manage gas and handle nitrogen narcosis, ensuring you explore this legendary shipwreck both safely and professionally.
Why choose the Deep Diver Specialty?
- Unlock USS Emmons: The USS Emmons is Okinawa's most challenging and stunning shipwreck. With this certification, you can fully explore this 106-meter long historical site.
- Master Gas Management: Learn in-depth about air consumption calculations in high-pressure environments, ensuring sufficient reserve gas in deep water.
- Handle Nitrogen Narcosis: Understand the physical effects of depth on the brain, learn to identify it, and safely manage it under instructor guidance.
- Precise Decompression Theory: Master safety stops and emergency decompression procedures, establishing a more rigorous concept of safe diving.
- Professional 1-to-2 Instruction: Considering the depth and currents of the USS Emmons, we provide a very high instructor-to-student ratio to ensure the most intensive safety monitoring at 40 meters.
The itinerary can be customized upon request.
All students who complete the course will enjoy exclusive discounts at our store, applicable to all activities and equipment purchases.
