Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellation 30 days prior to the tour: 100% full refund.

  • Cancellation 14 days prior to the tour: 50% refund.

  • Cancellation 3 days prior to the tour: 30% refund.

  • Cancellation 1 day prior to the tour: 0% refund.

  • Absence or changes on the day of the tour due to personal reasons (e.g., being late, menstrual period, physical discomfort, etc.): 0% refund.

⚠️ Important Notes:

  • Weather & Typhoon Policy: If the tour is canceled due to non-personal reasons such as typhoons or adverse weather, a 100% full refund will be provided. The decision to cancel due to weather conditions is solely determined by our shop based on professional safety standards. If we actively notify you of a cancellation due to safety concerns, you will receive a full refund. However, if our assessment shows that conditions are safe and the tour proceeds, but you choose to be absent due to personal concerns about the weather, it will be treated as a "Same-Day Cancellation" and no refund will be given.

  • Dive Site Changes: If the dive site is changed due to natural/environmental conditions, no compensation will be provided for the change of location.

  • Flight Cancellations: If you are unable to arrive in Okinawa as scheduled due to flight cancellations, delays, or rerouting, our shop cannot accept cancellations or refund requests for these reasons. Since flight disruptions are an unpredictable travel risk, we strongly recommend purchasing Travel Inconvenience Insurance or Travel Cancellation Insurance as soon as you book your flights. Please ensure the policy covers "losses of activity/itinerary fees caused by flight cancellations." In such events, please file a claim directly with your insurance provider. We can assist by providing booking confirmations or receipts for your claim.

  • Handling Fees: Bank transfer fees are the responsibility of the customer. Refunds do not include processing fees (Credit card and processing fees are 4%).

  • Refund Method: Refunds will be processed using the original method of payment.

  • Calculation Baseline: Cancellation days are calculated based on Japan Standard Time (JST). One day is defined as 24 hours.

Explanation for Ineligibility and Cancellation

If you are unable to participate on the day of the activity due to undisclosed personal factors (e.g., health conditions, failing to meet age or technical requirements, etc.), this will be treated as a "Same-Day Cancellation." Under these circumstances, no refund will be provided.

  • Example: If you answer "Yes" to any question on the Medical Questionnaire/Health Checklist, you will be deemed ineligible to participate in our tour. If you are unable to join on the day of the activity for this reason, no refund will be issued.

Why is it non-refundable?

Once your booking is confirmed, we immediately initiate a series of preparations, including:

  1. Staffing & Instruction: We reserve dedicated staff or exclusive instructors for you to ensure the best possible experience.

  2. Equipment & Logistics: Diving gear, transportation, and weather contingency plans are prepared in advance.

  3. Itinerary Planning: Instructors plan dive sites and routes beforehand, which requires monitoring weather and tidal currents days in advance.

This means once you cancel, the resources we have already invested cannot be recovered, resulting in actual losses for us. Furthermore, it is very difficult to find other guests to fill the vacancy on short notice, which heavily impacts our small business.

Therefore, to protect the rights of our shop and other guests, we must strictly enforce this non-refundable policy. We appreciate your understanding and ask that you carefully evaluate your condition before booking to ensure a smooth trip.

PADI Diving Course Policy (Rescheduling over Cancellation/Refunds)

1. Course Commitment

By enrolling in any PADI course provided by DayDayGoodDays, you commit to completing the course as scheduled. Once your PADI course booking is confirmed, DayDayGoodDays allocates dedicated resources for your participation, including instructor time, equipment, and learning materials.

2. Weather Conditions and Rescheduling

Diving activities are inherently dependent on weather conditions.

  • If adverse weather makes diving unsafe or unsuitable for course progression, DayDayGoodDays reserves the right to postpone or change the dates of the course dives.

  • Cancellations or refunds will not be accepted due to weather conditions. Our primary goal is to ensure the safety and effective learning of all participants.

  • If the weather is unsuitable for the planned diving activities, DayDayGoodDays staff will offer the next available date to reschedule the affected dives. We will do our best to accommodate your schedule when arranging the new date.

3. Student Responsibilities

  • Students are expected to maintain flexibility in their schedules to accommodate potential rescheduling caused by weather.

  • We strongly advise students to buffer extra time during their stay in Okinawa to account for potential weather-related delays.

  • It is the student's responsibility to attend all rescheduled sessions.

  • Please note that all rescheduled courses must be completed within one year from the original course start date. If this one-year limit is exceeded, additional fees will apply.

4. Course Completion

Course completion is strictly dependent on meeting all PADI standards and requirements, including the successful completion of all required dives and knowledge development sections. If a student is unable to complete the course within the allocated timeframe, additional fees for extended instruction or rescheduling may apply.

5. Non-Weather Related Rescheduling

Rescheduling requests for personal reasons are subject to availability and may incur additional fees. DayDayGoodDays reserves the right to deny rescheduling requests based on availability and other operational considerations.

6. Acceptance of Policy

By signing up for a PADI course with DayDayGoodDays, you acknowledge and agree to abide by all the terms outlined in this policy.
